Charlotte’s professional career in health and fitness began over a decade ago when she was studying BA Dance Performance in London. During her degree she studied anatomy and physiology and postural assessments and was also introduced to mat pilates to supplement her dance training. In 2018 she trained as a level 3 Personal Trainer and the following year qualified in Reformer Pilates. Even though she had danced the majority of her life she noticed her core strength and whole body stability had never been as strong until she was introduced to the Reformer which then took her own physical practice to the next level. Since then Charlotte takes part in regular strength training and running and is a huge believer that Reformer Pilates is a practice that can elevate every other sporting discipline keeping you supple and preventing injury.
Charlotte trained as a disordered eating and body image specialist through Sport and Exercise Nutritional Therapy and further training with the National Centre for Eating Disorders. She takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and this is reflected into all of her classes via the encouragement of mind to body connection, appreciating the ability your body holds and the language used throughout her classes to promote body neutrality.
A huge advocate of mindfulness, Charlotte is passionate about breath work and the calming nature Reformer Pilates has on the body and the mind. You are guaranteed to feel worked but mentally refreshed and at peace.
Having worked with people of all backgrounds- professional athletes, beginners, pre and post natal, para-lympians and recreational exercisers, she loves to push people to their individual strengths allowing them to see what they are capable of and having them leave each class accomplished, energised and full of joy!
